Christian Bale has embraced his inner child for Ridley Scott epic Exodus: Gods and Kings.
The Oscar-winning actor has said filming battle scenes were still ‘so much bloody fun’.
Speaking in this Exodus featurette, exclusive to metro.co.uk, Bale said: ‘No matter how many films you’ve done it never stops being so much bloody fun riding on a horse, slashing through people and having some fights.
‘That’s straight back to being eight years old.’
His co-star Joel Edgerton agreed – to an extent.
‘I love the battle scenes because it’s a chance to play boys club, but you can also add extra garnish on the story’ he said.
Christian plays Moses in the film, which tells the biblical story of Moses’ uprising against the Egyptian Pharaoah Ramses.
However the bilblical, or the action aspect of the film is not what appeals to the Batman Begins star.
He added: ‘We’re reaching out to people. None of it matters unless you get into people’s hearts and minds and make them feel something.’
Exodus: Gods and Kings is out on December 26.

但吸引他加入這齣電影的製作，不是聖經也不是電影以戰爭的方式切入故事的關係。
「電影作品是給人看的，若電影內容無法深入人心，或無法讓人產生共鳴，就沒有意義了。」
